Saw this band support Tadpole when they came to Christchurch.
Awesome performance , one of the best live bands in New Zealand today , these guys go off and give it heaps .Shame they haven't been signed yet , but no NZ label has got the balls to back them . No doubt they will be leaving our shores soon too if New Zealand on Air can't see these guys deserve a break after sloggin it out here for the last few years.
Christchurch Bands Rock !! Good to see that at least The Rock FM and Channel Z FM are playing them now and then . 8) Good on ya!!

There's wee piece about 7 tongues in the latest NZ Musician mag (which btw is a bloody good mag and well worth tracking down). Seems you're right Platypus, they may well be leaving shortly to Oz. On a recent trip to Melbourne, 3 radio stations agreed to play their single 'Broken' and the track will also be included on a major label's upcoming heavy rock compo. To borrow shamelessly from NZmusician:
'It's an exciting time for us, we've been putting ourselves out there and there's been a lot of interest in return. We've had our single reviewed and included on 2 indie compilations in London, as well as the interest from Australia. Depending on what happens in NZ over the next few months, we might just make the move to Melbourne and see what happens.' Mark Royal, 7 Tongues guitarist.
They are also aiming to have an EP out in the new year.

Having produced the first "3 Seven Tongues" videos ,all self-funded by the band, I can definetly say these guys deserve all the success they can get.Hopefully 7 years of hard work slogging it out will FINALLY translate into overnight success for the guys!!! NZ on AIR please give these guys a break THEY DESERVE IT and then we can really show you what we're capable off in the video production stakes!!! KEEP ROCKING DUDES!!!

Well since "Seven Tongues" didn't get funding AGAIN we've put together a live style high energy VIDEO clip for their latest recording!! It show's the guys at their KICK ASS ROCKIN BEST and will soon be available on this site. Which is kinda cool because TV has a problem playing music without that damn NZonAir logo!! Also watchout for an upcoming item on TV3's Nightline!!
