Random questions for the Hutt Massive

I'm sad to say that I'm degenerating to asking homework questions here. But I have been doing my damndest to get answers to these questions.

I know that there were two schools in the Hutt called Hutt Valley Memorial College and Waiwhetu Girls High School. However, neither of this appear in the current list of NZ schools. Hence, I assume that they have closed. If anyone could confirm this, and take a stab at when, I'd appreciate it.

I'm pretty sure it shut its gates at the end of 1999.

According to oldfriends.co.nz, Waiwhetu Girls High School ran from 1958 to 1967.

And I was wrong about Petone ... it shut in 98 ...

cheers for the info guys. I got a bit to sick of reading through oldfriends.co.nz with little joy (I've been checking out most high schools nationwide), so I feel a bit slack now. But that's a great help.

No worries ... I like a good mission!

sweet. Now I'm stumped on something called Trinity Senior College, which I suspect is the way that Rathkeale and St Matthew's in Masterton have coed senior classes, but which is not officially recognised by the Ministry of Education. Then to confuse things, if you google it you get the SADD website which implies that it's on the same site as Upper Hutt College.

I think it's about time I approached the ministry....

How come you're getting all this info anyway?

St kentigern rules!!!!

Just a little "project" to kill time while I'm looking for a

I think you can get an ointment for that.

Ointment-smointment. The far easier solution would be to find another course to enrol for. That way I would be able to avoid having to use the J-word for a few more years.

Yeah ... well that's been my plan! That and ointment.

Heh. Damned NZM. Doing research on the closing date of Cargill High School; and lo, as well as the usual oldfriends.co.nz damned things, get a topic from The Bar turn up. You know who you are. Might even see you tonight Tama?
