Forums: The Bar,

As out of place as this advertisement is on this site (know your target market, people), I'm actually really excited to see this program. I've seen a few previews for it, and among all of the other really cool people who will be on it is Mr. Nick Cave. How very interesting.

Too bad I'm the only one here with access to a local pbs station.

Well, we get some really good US stuff pretty quickly, so maybe it won't be too long before we get the chance. The only problem is that probably it's a bit of a niche demographic over here, and our delightful public broadcasting charter would probably be struggling to find a suitable place amongst the reality TV shows and pulpy american sitcoms. I won't give up hope just yet though.

Worst comes to the worst it'll be on pay TV some time within the next eighteen months.

In the good old days before Channel Bloody Nine got its hooks into Prime we might have spotted it there.

Or on the old Sundance channel ... had the Jazz series and Baseball series (Ken Burns, I think) Don't know if Rialto does the doco thing anymore ... but this would be such a cool thing to see.

I know ... the lovely velocity could record it all on her VCR and then set up a server to stream it too us ... what a good idea!!!!

//the lovely velocity could record it all on her VCR

awww, you called me lovely. In that case, I certainly could record it all on my VCR. In fact, I probably will anyway. As for the rest of what you said, that's completely beyond my abilities. I'm just a humble writer, who still uses pens and paper. All that technology mumbo-jumbo is like freakin' magic the way it works.

the blues + gene x = the white stripes
