Man I'm lame before my second coffee.
What I meant to say is that I'm so keen to go to this see this concert that I've been loosing sleep working out how I'm going to catch up with my friend and see it as well. Have already been considering invers/chch/wgtn as alternatives, so tickets to the invercargill one would help me stop being indecisive.

i've got a flat of 5 guys, who all love shihad/pacifier, one of my flatties is even from InverVegas and wants to go down for the weekend and catch up with his whanau. Man, that's accomodation sorted, if we can get 5 free tickets to the gig... all we need to worry about is petrol and alcohol!

Cool, for a moment then we thought that no one in Invercargill had the internet.
Wasdale and limegreen you are the lucky winners of pacifier tickets.
Because Wasdale you are the only person to actually come from Invers you get 3 of the coverted tickets. Limegreen will receive 2 of the tickets, this means you have to choose between your beautiful girlfriend or your buddy from out of town.
Post your email address here and we will email you the info, don’t email us.
Choice!!
Hope you guys enjoy the show.
Lots of love

This is complicated but i will try and explain, if we said 'just email us the names for the door' then ever tom dick and harry would email us names and sign it 'limegreen', we wouldnt know who the real 'limegreen' was. This way limegreen posts his/her address with their little icon next to it, no one else has that email address and we know that the dude we are emailing is the real deal and the names we put on the door will match the people we want to be there..............hmmmmm im babling, I dont even know why im explaining this or if this makes any sense, it certainly sounds way, way too complicated then it should be, im going to stop now and get ready for 'the office'.
Hope that clears up any worries you had Jimi, your email has been received and we will be checking them everyday and updating the site with a tour diary, so check in every few days for an update.

The "Fucking Invers" (Toogood) Gig
Two Lane Black Top had a relative intimate audience at the front, and a rather larger one clustered around the bar. Really enjoyed the set, particularly Crawdaddy. Please come play Dunedin.
Fur Patrol's Set was dominated by new stuff, but which was pretty well received. We got approx 3 new songs, Beautiful (I think?), couple more new ones, Precious (the new single, which goes off live), Not Your Girl (maybe those two reversed), and another new one to end.
In stark contrast, Pacifier didn't play much new stuff, and initially appeared to have the worst mix of the night, all high and low and no middle, which improved, or I shifted a bit.
These are the songs I can remember, vaguely in order: Interconnector, Run, Semi-normal, Lalaland, Deb's Night Out, Bullitproof, TGE, My Mind's Sedate, Comfort Me /// Crowd choice of song's ending in Again (However, they then played You Again), Gimme Gimme.
Erm, there were more including one that I didn't recognise. Nice to hear Run plugged, and seemingly on the way to anthem status if the crowd's singing was much to go by.
best hair: nominees: luke, matt, julia, simon, phil, jon (newly shaggy); but Karl takes it away with the Mullohawk by a ringlet.
town most like huntly: edendale
best 70s rock pout: luke, pip
best invercargill landmark: Random cemetary from Goodbye Pork Pie
best mix: tlbt
most used animal: goats. airborn, thanks.
best day-after recovery: pegasus bay & maruia springs

Forgot two awards:
Best natural phenomena: the aurora (easily beating the not-noticed earthquake). I think they were still playing at the first big shake, but perhaps we should have noticed the aftershock....
Most random comment: the girl yelling in my ear. I eventually worked out she was asking me if I was a star-bellied snitch.

Interesting - I was right up front and when Fur Patrol did Not Your Girl, the vocal dropped out completely, the next song started off all trebly in the vocal and came right about a minute into it. For Pacifier, I moved back quite a bit and thought the mix was perfect. What was strange was that I had been in the select group at the front for TLBT and didn't have any problem with the mix.
Mind you - it might have been my ears - when I left, I could only hear the tops and bottoms of people's voices and even they started off a vibration in my ears - the earthquake couldn't have come at a worse time, as it took a while to work out it wasn't just me shaking.

THANK YOU TWO LANE BLACKTOP! What an awesome night, I had a really great time. A great mix of bands, and bags of enthusiasm. Well done!
I was particularly impressed by:
TLBT's girl guitarist, and the enthusiasm of the whole band. And they played my favourite "Faster Pussycat".
Fur Patrol's vocals, and loved the new "Enemy".
Pacifier, all of it. The Voice seemed to take a couple of songs to get going, but then - wow. It was nice to see what seemed like genuine delight in an appreciative audience.
And everyone else who was there - you rock too. Loads of grins, no violence, just one little guy with a shaved head which he used like a battering ram to get to the front.
Sweet! Fuckin Invers indeed :o)
