OT - hey Tama, i tried emailing you but no joy, got bounced back. my band is coming down to invers this to play this saturday night and i wanted to ask you some invercargill patch questions ... re does the SIT have a student radio station (can't seem to find that info on their website, thought they did have a limited transmitter range one once), and where's the best place to spread fliers about (ie cafes etc). either way, hope to catch up with you this weekend coming!!!!

I remember there was a student radio last year, but not sure if its around anymore, I think Radio Southland still has a student slot on it, but I'm not sure, Mercury TV might help too.
Theres are some billboards you could post on around town. Some just outside Movieland 5 on Dee St, Grand Hotel (student hostel) on Dee St, Library on Dee St, Esk St billboards, SIT on Tay St & SIT Downtown on Don St (former Westpac) etc.

Trevor Daley Music on Dee St might be a good place too, theres a sports clothing type of shop (can't remember the name) across the road from Tillermans, they would put them up!!

$5 - there's a band from Hamilton playing with us - called Johnny Fist - they are a real musician's band, use the most incredible, authentic reverb you've ever heard, do heaps of old skool rock 'n' roll (Soul City, Viva Los Vegas etc - real munted stuff from the 50s - 60s) and they are very very enjoyable. very very pleasing to the technically minded musicians in the audience, and also to people who like that old, rockabilly, drivin'-like-freight-train fiery stuff.
i'll introduce you to my gorgeous yellow Pearl kit, not that i'll be playing it on this jaunt, but she's still a wee charmer.
