Anyone else who went to their CD Release party at the Auck Town Hall on the 4th July will agree...Deceptikonz and Mareko were entertaining. Seeing all the "industry kats" in the crowd was entertaining (Yeah, I'm the guitarist from ZED...but I'm pretending you dont know me..?? How you doin'... : P )....and poor old Elemeno P performed a set of un-dynamic songs, lacking in depth and essence....wheres the kiwi rawness!!!! I'm over bubble-gum G!! I left the venue, quite upset to tell you the truth, for I know atleast 5 other bands who (with the promo and hype they received) would blow every punter in the room - and their industry friends off their feet. Welcome to the NZ music industry...yep, they were all in the one room. ???
Hey Ben (sorry if i wasnt allowed to say my guess out loud) Saw photos afterwards of you with some of the crew @ the edge, & was kicking myself for, as im a major fan of zed, without trying to sound like im trying to impress lol, anyway doesnt sound like you were there long. Personally i thought it was a good set, maybe because im also a big fan of them too (doesnt kiwi music rock), but yea, as a talented musican yourself you probably have a different view?!?!Deceptikonz & marieko, sorry lol, totally lost my sense of spelling, were really good to start the evening, i was a bit skeptical at first coz its not really my choice in style of music, but they really suprised me! I dont know.....
Its nice to see other bands out there supporting eachother, i saw a member of blindspott there as well, nz is an awesome country to live in with such supporting people willing to help eachother out, keep it up!
