Knowing the initial broadcasting hours for 4Music, what would you allocate in those hours? What did you like about or could be improved from the previous music channels?
All times are from Monday to Thursday, except midnight to 0100 (Friday and Saturday only). The variation of programmes in a time slot are in no specific order.
Hopefully, presenters will only be used when necessary, and add to the show than merely presenting it. Mysterious voice overs and static subtitles would be fine when presenters are not needed.
Advertisers to have naming rights for programmes and have the screen bugged with a static sponsors logo for the duration of the program, thus allowing fifty to fifty five minutes of continous programme. This would be preferable over short bursts of programme and informercial endorsments by presenters.
Reports from the regions around New Zealand would be very welcome. Knowing what is happening around the various local music cultures would increase awareness of the depth of New Zealand music. Prerecorded reports would suffice.
Old music videos, even if they are of the band lip synching, would be interesting to watch. They'd be new to most of the audience as well.
Playing Gordons Adults and Children as the first video would be a strong statement.
what about tv4's programme content that they will probably want to keep? ie family guy, buffy/angel and southpark. i believe the want to keep them in the mix too

I heard somewhere that part of the reason 4's being set up as a music channel is that at the moment it's making too much competition for 3. I assumed that the most popular channel 4 programmes would be moved to 3.
family guy's already disappeared. there was something else on this week. i forget what. unless my tv guide was deceiving me and i missed out. IN WHICH CASE THERE WILL BE HELL TO PAY...
nooooooooooooooo family guy is the ONLY good programe letf on....maybe scrubs as well but THAT wasn't on last week either....i smell a conspiracy to dumb us down with big brother, fear facter and extreme makeover!
