Editor Available

Hey there!

I'm a trainee editor looking to cut my teeth on some more music videos. I've got access to some pretty spiffing offline/online equipment so if you want your vid edited (free of charge of course!) give me a yell at t_c_hansen@hotmail.com....any spam is appreciated too.

Thought I'd mention it (just) in time for Handal the Jandal!

Wicked!

Cheers

Forums: NZ Music,

What kind of editing equip you got?

I don't have personally, but I have access to (if I ask nicely), an AVID 1000. I also know a couple of fellas who can help me out with a grade or two.....

true sweet...

avid is cool!

I have avid dv express 3.0

Sweet deal....I haven't used AVID Express but I hear it is pretty funky!

Final Cut is fun too, nice and intuitive!

Premiere though used to not like me and used to throw all my stuff out of sync as a matter of habit - boo!

I used to use avid cinema. My audio was also out of sync. It was more the computer I was using rather than the programme though.

I've never used a "real" avid, although a lot of production companys etc use dv express. I believe they have some at tvnz? Although I could be wrong. It's the cheaper option anyway...

And just as valid I believe.....the AVID 1000 (and 9000) video card is probably just alot faster when dealing with compressed video.....so if you don't spend as much time waiting, and maybe the effects are are a bit more limited on DV express (too intensive again for the card).

Groovy

avid xpress dv is pretty damm sweet for the price tag.. i work for a local production company and we have both xpress and a new xprees dv 3.5.. the dv holds up pretty well in comparison .

our dv is actually faster to edit on (in non realtime mode) but does seem to be a little buggy.. it doesnt come with any 'card' to speak of... but we installed a parhellia card. (3 monitors, bitchin)

under a month until handle the jandal bro .. look forward to seeing you name in bright lights there

Thanks fella, got to find something to cut now!

av jargon junkies :P

Watch out, or I'll start a thread about 2:3 pulldowns.......bida boom......ahhhh

ouch.

hi i tried to email you at that email address and got bounced on.. i was just wondering if you have done music videos before and if so which ones? i was also wondering if there is a genre in particular you are interested in cutting. aaand what does your machine online to?

cheers

Hey!

That's weird, that email should be working, I just checked it! Try it again!

The only music video I've worked on was for a band called 1QA and was called 'here comes the rock'n'roll' - a live shoot with about 5 cameras.

In answer to your online question, I can output onto digi or SP or even as a frame sequence(but you would probably have to supply stock) - pretty much any tape format you can think of.....

Any genre is fine!

I got an email from a hotcake fella, but it ended up in my junk mail folder.

If that's you, that's probably why you got bounced back. Check you email for a reply

Cheers

:O hotcakes
