let the flood gate open!!!!

ANy of you pussies ever let ya water fall loose because of certain movies? (i don't count, cause they are manly tears!) Anyway the ones that made me blubber are
1. Lion king
2. the green miles
3. life on a string

Forums: The Bar,

OK... so this hasn't actually made me cry - but it certainly shocked me a little.

I haven't seen Debbie Does Dallas... but I recently heard that Debbie is not, in fact, having sexual relations with the entire state of Dallas. Apparently there is just one dude. And his name is Dallas.

How lame is that?

*bawl*

Hmm... Buffy nearly made me cry once... can't remember where it was, or if it was a happy or a sad moment...

There was the time she had to kill Angel just as he got his soul back...that was such a taxing episode even the monster at the end of the credits didn't say his usual "grrrr arrrg", but said "I need a hug".

It's getting pretty full on at the moment. Every single time that mad preacher sidles in, I have to hide behind the couch.

//the entire state of Dallas

...and people say Americans are bad at geography...

Well, they are. But you are, too.

Buffy has frequently been known to make me cry - like, when her mother died? Or when Tara died? Or when she died? Or when they manage to avert the end of the world? Hot damn that's emotional stuff. And the creepy preacher guy is hot because he's so evil.

// Well, they are. But you are, too.
:P
Honest mistake. State of Texas... city of Dallas. And not a nice or interesting city from what I hear.

And guys... be careful with the Buffy details... not up to date person here does not get channel 4!!!

Just thinking about it... I think it was when Joyce died that I got sad :(

Aww... the final episode of Buffy brought tears to my eyes a couple of times... 7 years... ended up quite involved with the characters, I guess.

Rain
A film tailor-made to upset the parents of young sons (and young daughters, come to think of it).

Watership Down
But I was only 10.

Fresh
A NY gangsta-type film from the 90s, the only bit of which I can remember well is a shooting scene that left me in tears.

Rain just killed me too ...

same.

what would a 10 year old girl be doing smoking and drinking?? if she was my daughter id beat her with my crowbar.

Talk about beating your "slappaz" and "preps" all you want and I'll happily ignore you, but beating children isn't something anyone should joke about. I draw the line.

// I draw the line.
Velocity, you are so forgiving. I drew my line long ago... Glad more lines have turned up. Sam's violence crap is unnecessary and dull.

I wouldn't say I'm forgiving. In fact, more people than I'd care to admit have called me heartless. I'm just REALLY good at ignoring things I don't enjoy, agree with, etc. It gets me through life in america, where the president has a 61% approval rating. If I chose to make an issue out of everything I disagreed with... well, I'd pretty much be no better than the people who fill these forums with violent and tedious crap.

As apathetic, jaded and cold-hearted as I am, though, there comes a point when I've had enough; when I can't tolerate any more of this stupid pointless needless insulting tripe. This is that point.

E-fucking-nough. I'm sick of it.

I really don't know what good my protestation will do. I just would like it noted that I've reached my limit.

velocity - nice to see your line in the sand is on the same part of the beach as that of the moderators.

hey who deleted my last post....go fuck a camel MoFo whoever did.

like i say if i had a 10 year old (like the girl in the film) girl whom i caught smoking (cigs, pot or P) or riding the punani with 35 year old men id firmly "re-educate" and then tell them "wait till your fucken 18 to use the shit (except for P or ill re-educate you MORE) but your only 1 so i get to re-educate you beeeeatch!!!!!!

....again proves that i am destined to become a firm but affective father but thats another topic.

After the Baz Luhrmann version of Romeo and Juliet my mum asked me "How was the movie?" and I said "good" and started walking out of the room. Mum put on a grumpy face and said "ooooo, doesn't sound like it was that good" to which I sobbed "it was good ok, just - just leave me alone!" and ran into my room. Took me three days to get over the emotional trauma.

My friend Xtian and I saw Buffalo 66 - he cried during the sad bit and I cried during the happy bit.

i'm terrible with movies. if i happen to cry at something (happy or sad, doesn't matter) i find it really hard to stop. sometimes i'm moody and fragile for the rest of the night!

same goes for books.

the green mile made me cry!
it was so sad =(

Breaking the Waves. The first time I saw it at the movies I was practically balled up on the floor bawling. We sat by the door at the Paramount and every single person who left the theatre, boys and girls, had been crying.

http://hubris.co.nz ]

I cried in ET.... still do.

me too!

I am Sam. it is the saddest most beautiful movie ever made.

i'm a chronic movie cryer though....i cry in EVERYTHING.....on the airplane back from L.A i balled my eyes out during Ice Age. I'm such a pansy sometimes

The most wonderful thing in that movie is when Lucy says:
"ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE"
It's great how BEATLE's messages, were printed in this movie...
Just love it!!!!

I never cry! Just felt sad with these movies.

Terminator 2 (at the end when he lowers himself into the hot laver stuff)
Bambi (that deer movie, her mother got killed!)
The Green Mile

Yeah, well Terminator 2, it's a pretty DEEP movie... and I mean it.
Terminator (101) is a hero, is a protector, of a young kid, so, when he gets terminated in the end, it's fucking sad.
I cried.
For real.

//(at the end when he lowers himself into the hot laver stuff)

Sarah Connor did the 'Terminating',As Terminators cannot self-Destruct :oP

Besides...He's Back in T3!,Only it's not the same Terminator,So John finds himself hav'in 2 start aaaaall ova again wit this "new" one.

Do anybody thinks that the end of "Fight Club" it's a pretty romantic ending????
I do.

so true! i avoided seeing that movie for soooooooo long cause i thought i was just a vehicle for brad pitt....HOW WRONG WAS I???

I thought Titanic was kinda sad.

yeah me too

Suprise ending?

yeah i had no idea jack was gonna die

or that the boat was going to sink?

titanic blew monkey-cock, i say this is cos it was a teenybop flick, fucken oath why make one of the most tragic sea-disasters into a bopper-chick-flick?? 1958s - A NIGHT TO REMEMBER was far better than the B/S made 39 years later. chick-flicks blow cock.

Titanic
The green mile
Igby goes down
The Lion King
The little mermaid (i was young ok!)

American History X

i cry everytime i see it

anyone seen bad boy bubby? Does crying with shock and utter disgust count?

They keep FBI records on people that get out 'Bad Boy Bubby' at videoshops. Just goes to show how Australians are twisted when it comes to film making.

Yeh I've seen it, that's one fucked up movie. I think I almost cried when those bastards beat up his poor starving kittie when he went to buy it some pizza. That was sad.
It had some really funny parts though too, like when he's on stage, or when he tells that whore with massive boobs "y'got small tits"

Today i saw *thanks to saturn and hayleys saturn decoder*
"life as a House"
i dont really cry during movies but this one jerked a tear or two i just cant stand the pain people go though being angry because someones dying, hayden christensen plays a really good sad, angry character. i felt for him..*and the crowd sighs "awww"*
also on my list of emotional movies are ...
:the green mile (the little dude with the mouse gets me everytime)
:angela's ashes (the part where the children start dying aww)

Honestly i thought for a long time about that, and unless i see the movie, i cant actually remember if i thought it was sad or not.. i must have blocked it out

who's seen the pianist?

I haven't seen the Pianist, but has anyone seen Quills? Kate Winslet starred in it and it had the widest range of emotions I've ever come across - comedy, sadness, fear, anger, even horniness - quite a lot of horniness actually.
Lion King made me cry too, as well as The Green Mile and Forest Gump

ah, and that reminds me...

Life is Beautiful.

//ah, and that reminds me...

Life is Beautiful.//

... sniff ...

Nah ... I just got a bit of dust in my eyes ... honest ... sniff

Life is Beautiful isn't sad - well, not if you stop it when they get married and then you know that they live happily ever after. Same with Romeo + Juliet, and also Moulin Rouge. It's all a matter of hitting the stop button at the right time!

Okay, so I'm cheating aren't I?

you didn't see much of bambi then?

I saw it when I was really young, so I don't remember it being traumatising at all - unlike Watership Down, which the memories of still freak me out to this day.

I'm not advocating you turn a movie off before it finishes if it's the first time you see it - but sometimes, by like the 10th viewing, it's nice for things to have a happy ending. When I saw Romeo + Juliet at the movies, I was praying that they'd pull a Hollywood and change it from a tragedy to a nice end to appease the american market.

Having said that, there's nothing as good as having a nice bawl at a movie to make your day a lot better.
