You know, Ive heard that the mint chicks are thinking of doing personal live shows for punters just like you steffan...
Basically what happens is they do a free concert in each city and then each person that goes to a gig writes their little review for the band, then the band fixes what they did WRONG and do a personal concert just for PUNTERS LIKE YOU.
I happen to have information that they are also considering releasing 4 different EPs.
Each ep will have the same songs but different versions... example:
One will be the "raw" and "lofi" recording for all the punters that like raw lofi stuff.
another will be a large expensive production for all the audiofiles.
You get the point.
So, your comments do help the mint chicks.

I guess the show in wellingtown didn't have as much spark as some of the other shows in auckland.

And steffan, yea, we were all a bit sick at that show, so i can imagine you thinking we werent that into it.
You wellington people are crazy, all the gigs start at like 11:00, crazy if your playing last, but i think i like the playing late thing, at least everyone has consumed before you go and play.
I enjoyed playing, and thats how i rate a gig, what the crowd is doing is irrelevant usually.
Well, i hope most people enjoyed it as much as i did.
And for the record, at the drive in are the shit and if our show can come even close to what theirs was im pretty happy. But steffan, i dont know if kody is trying to dance like cedric, i think he is going for more of a cross between james brown and iggy pop, but you konw, its just how he dances, we dont usually talk about how we dance.
You know, at band practise we dont all practice our dance "moves" .... haha
but maybe we should if you think it was all a bit ....... yea.

I'm sorry you were disappointed with our performance Steffan. If it counts for anything, I was getting over the flu, and between nine hours of driving and finding somewhere to stay, I'm sure everyone in the band was tired. But that's just excuses isn't it?
As for Kody's cedric fixation, it was good spotting. I'd say that he's trying to rip off Guy Picciotto and Dennis from Refused as well, not to mention James Brown and even Michael Jackson. He's not a fake though, he's a real frontman!
I would also say that I find it pretty exciting to play music and whatever stage stupidness happens
I hope that we don't come across as contrived. I have a great time but obviously you didn't. If you didn't like the show, that was our fault, not yours.
I find it intimidating to be put up against ATDI, as they were a better band than us. I also know that they were together for about 5 or 6 years when Relationship of Command came out, where we have been together less than two. I just hope you don't compare our song writing to the Buzzcocks!
We are trying to improve all the time and hopefully at some stage you will see us and be able to say that we have moved beyond those obvious influences. To come into our own has always been a priority, but we are unable to emerge fully formed after such a short time.
So maybe we have been over hyped, but we are working hard to be a good band. it's hard to take criticism when you work so intensely on something. Thanks to those people who stuck up for us!

As for your wellington gig - if you can put on a high energy performance whilst sick and only have one or two people not that enthused about it, then you guys are onto something!
