for all the shit metallica have put their fans through in the last 10 or so years, i'd still be keen to see them, as one of the best metal bands ever on the planet, their first five albums were all classics, so it's hardly surprising they couldn't keep it up forever ,and as for all the shit with napster, perhaps there just getting senile......they have been around for more than 20 years now.....
and as to whether they'd fit in at BDO, i think it's impossible for a band not to fit in.....last year - Kraftwerk, Janes Addiction, Foo Fighters, Underworld, Sparta, Xhibit, Concord Dawn .. . i mean thats pretty 'full spectrum' if you ask me..
and anyway.. it's a stadium gig, so why not have big pompous stadium rock bands....
and there will be more white trash for the rest of us clean cut city folk to laugh at

i'm 23. when i was 15 i REALLY liked mettalica. now i don't, i have grown....moved on if you will. this years BDO out was the best one in years so i made the effort to save the coin to travel up from deapest darkest south canterbury. i'd have to say that metallica would give me second thoughts about attending next year....DOES NO-ONE REALISE THAT THEIR LATEST SONG IS SHIT!!!~!???
if they do come i hope there is a really wicked kiwi band on another satge....i'd rather watch that than some over rated, too old, metal wash outs and their white trash bogan fans.
