Wanna play spacies gig was awesome, really good night. Big ups to Po-Ha, their "best day" song was in my head all of yesterday, top song. The K1500 Project were in top form, they rocked the casbah. Great crowd, great sound, great bands, grrrreat night.
We are going into the studio on Friday to cut 2 tracks and we are using one live track from the "spacies" gig to be included on our EP which will be released in a couple of months.

a wicked set.
Rootsy. Rhythmic. And structures that are parred right down to what says the message the strongest- this is probably what I like best about Lollipop Parade, there's nothing getting in the way of their music, it's strong and clear and irresistable. You guys rocked Wanna Play Spacies, torched it from song one, such a hard act to follow- the whole night was great from beginning to end.
Yet another wicked gig last night to go along with the one from last Saturday! Love watching you guys and I'm looking forward to the gig on thursday at Bodega aye?

Thanks everybody, yeah we are doing an E.P. we wern't sure what we would sound like at all so we've been kinda quiet, it was intended for demos only but it sounds fucken nice and it was tracked live so it captures our sound pretty well, we are gunna mix it up nice and master it. We heard a rumour Vic Uni might pay us a bit to play there on Thurs 18th, which should take a chunk out of costs.
Thanks heaps to Disasteradio and the Yesmen for a crazy night. Both acts were fuckin' good. (respect the 80's, many of us were born during this period, it can't be denied). Thanks sound guy Blair, good shit.

We are playing today at eastside bar at vic uni with tough love a nd the k1500 project, kick off at about 7.30pm. Our single "black listed" b/w "walkin away" and" in summer" will be released early next month . We are doing a run of 100 for now. Should be a good night of in ya face hard rock tonight!
I had to leave earlyish, but I heard the first four songs and I dig your new stuff- how did you guys feel up there? I didn't think you had as much "fuck-you" as you normally have live- everything OK?
We shuffled the set around playing our new songs first up, you should have stuck around man. I usually get pissed off before a gig because something is always in the air but on tuesday everything went smoothly, maybe because its the festive season or the warmer weather or the fact there were females in the crowd or maybe I was thinking about what to do on new years eve. Don't worry, none of us have found happiness, (well maybe dave). bring on 2004!

This is all true Mr Christeller (I assume?!), I guess I was referring to the lack of bodies at the venue to make a better 'atmosphere' for the Lollipops and Cherry etc to play at. It is a shame that more people don't turn up to Eastside gigs cos they have the potential to be fablicious with the perks you noted! Free gigs with good sound is always a go-er.
