wheres YOUR giddy up?

Saaaaay what?

Then again, Rotovegas happened. Hey everyones' opinion please. Which was the first Vegas? Roto or Ash?

Vegas

// wheres YOUR giddy up?

It took a wrong turn at Bulls.

jimi - Definitely Ash Vegas

yer defionately vegas

Eh... didn't think you were rude at all. Speak it as is.... and I agree, Rotovegas is quite a cool place. That street luge is great fun.

//But if you had 3.6 million and lived in vegas, I suspect that a hot commodore (Clubsport perhaps?) would be fairly high on the list.

Hahahahaha, I got told about the lotto thing as I was writing my post, and I suggested to those present that they would probably buy some mags and a blowoff valve. Especially considering the winner is apparently a mid-20's male. Cheers for backing me up, heh heh.

Fake lake aye? Crazy stuff. Then again, if I live in Ashvegas (the original) I wouldn't be complaining.

I'm not sure about a blow-off valve to be honest. That seems to be more of a city trend. It will be a sad day when a blow-off valve surpasses raw cubic inches in your V8 as the status piece in rural nz.

An ashburton lotto millionaire should buy a jet boat with a V8, for cruising the lakes and rivers; a V8 car to tow the boat trailor. Then perhaps a harley, landcruiser and quad-bike. And perhaps a valiant charger to restore.

Reminds me of a funny story of a canterbury farmer who bought a beemer 4WD, and tried to do a river crossing in it. Apparently, while it might look a little off-road, the electronics aren't waterproofed. It died, never to run again.

Dammit. I have a wager that it's Roto.

where has the bright lights lining mainers to rival las vegas?

where has the entertainment on mainers to rival las vegas?

look in your heart and you will know that it is ashburton reprazent.

Jimi. Lets think about this. Las Vegas is the bright lights in the middle of nowhere. It's like a desert. If there weren't casinos, no one would go there.

Roturua has hills, trees, lakes, natural attractions.

Ash vegas is well the bright lights in the middle of a big flat boring dry wasteland. Playing the slots and getting drunk are what it's about.

Only a fool would have money any other way.

Limegreen, great point. My dream of Roto 'The original' Vegas is shattered.

See someone in Ashvegas won 3.6 million or something? What will they buy? More coins?

Sorry Jimi, that read slightly ruder than I'd intended. But it is my opinion that while people from Rotorua find it boring, they really should got somewhere *really* boring, and then they'll realise they have it pretty good.

// 3.6million

I'm not really up with the word on the street in vegas. But if you had 3.6 million and lived in vegas, I suspect that a hot commodore (Clubsport perhaps?) would be fairly high on the list. Then I think building a hill would have to seem an appealing option. I was reading some junkmail recently, and they were actually advertising in Dunedin sections for sale in Ashburtron. Apparently they built a lake. That was probably the last lotto winner. So after a fake lake, they could build a fake hill (Twizel has both a fake lake, and a fake hill), then a casino and perhaps some forest.

no

something happened.

"Shit happens"

Forrest Gump

are you sure Forrest said that?

Nah, what he actually said was "It happens" after he trod in some shit and was alerted to the fact by a well meaning sycophant. His words of wisdom were re-interpreted ... which makes it sort of funny for the movie and we all have a little chuckle at it. A nice movie, lots of fun and tears.

Nada

There was a war, or something...

and that golden circle root beer (sars) pandemic

..and there was something about electricity...or no electricity...or something...

and something about ruben the no talent loser somehow scamming america into voting clay out, who really deserved to win ...

..and it got colder, although that doesn't appear to be a worldwide phenomenon. Apparently, according to my sister, in the UK it got warmer.

err- voom has been playing live- that's pretty rare & special- 14/6 bodega- 26/6 bogs bx- 28/6 paradise- 5/7 masonic- 25/7 ward lane- 5/11 your pants- & the phone just keeps ringing

I came back to New Zealand and the novelty wore off far too quickly.

Some interesting things have happened.. it's just gone very fast.

lots of stuff was happening at the start of the year, but then it all went quiet, especially the last couple of months, but i reckon stuff will start happening again really soon. like in a month or so. i fully expect more stuff to happen soon.

You must write horoscopes for Womens Day

LOL! there always seems to be a lull after summer for bands - a few tours after the BDO, but then everyone seems to settle in a bit, whack off a few recordings, hibernate a bit over winter (except in Dunedin, where people get out in winter to warm pubs, and there are quite a few gigs as a result) and then things crank up a bit in the spring.

the circle of life as a nz musician ...
