I'm an editor for the Holmes show,Breakfast,Network and Late news,and often we need music to put behind items. I always look at music from NZ bands first.Although TVNZ doesn't pay a lot we do fill out our APRA returns ( I'm also a muso so I know how valuable those cheques can be!!)and so royalties are paid out that way.

I played up in the Golden Bay myself a couple of years ago with my band Sparky's Cosmic Journey at the Greenacres Music festival . Definitely a great place to make music!!! Yes - your site is great!....will spread the word. Golden Bay Records is heading down your way to play at Destination in March and some club gigs late Feb...in the meantime we would love to get some tunes on the Holmes show - just to let him know what real NZ music is all about...we'll send you some CDs if your'e keen.
Had a great blast at the Gathering over New Years...some rocking kiwi sounds heard, heading up to Auckland at the end of the month for Splore - another great party to be had! Golden Bay had some awesome gigs here this summer...pitchblack, salmonella dub, Rotor, Trinity Roots, etc - really went off.

Definitely keen on some of your music. We're always looking for good modern instumental music to put behind our stories and I'd rather you guys get the royalties than some overseas band!!!
There's also a show on TV3 coming up that may be looking for some good electronica. It'll be playing at 7pm (against Holmes ssshhh)aimed at the teen market,and they're looking for New Zealand music where they don't have to go thru all the hassle of going thru the major labels!!
