in a story called "Go Home, Stay Home" published in the collection FUDDADADUDDADA #2, writer R J Cardy includes this passage: "I can hear the ghostplanes. I can't see them, but I know they're there." The rest of the story is a strange account of a visit to a hospital where a woman recovering from a blow to the head - sustained from one of those school-library guillotines falling from a certain height! - finds that her right-handedness has reversed and that she is able to remember the names (there's a long list) of all members of the species Bovidae. The narrator describes himself as feeling like a muppet. Not much else happens, but the ghostplanes are described again towards the end of the story.
