Forums: NZ Music,

i would have loved to have gone.....if i didnt have work at 7am tomorrow :-(......dang new jobs or should i say....shows on thursday nights :(

I went. Got trashed. Had a great time. I believe I met you, Disasteradio. Was very late for work this morning.

One concern - somehow I missed Tried For Treason. Now where the hell was I?

Aargh! I had a really fun night - thanks to everybody that came - pretty choice turnout for an all ages gig at an unknown venue on a thursday night.

This Night Creeps: phoar! blown away eh...

What a wikked night. Second time I have seen the Deadline who were wikked as. Batrider played a real nice set as well. Everytime I see them there songs grow on me more. The Night Creeps. Woah they were one of the most amazing live bands I have seen in quite some time. The first time I saw them a while ago they were fairly decent then but last night they totally blew me away. Can't wait to see them again.

Also it must be said that the people that organized this gig did a very impressive job. First time I been to a hall type gig with a PA that actually sounded really good.

Tried for treason. Fucking eh!!! So good.

hmmm.
They were ok. A bit samey.
I must be the odd one out because This Night Creeps didn't do it for me either. Tight as mofos but...
hmmm.
I'll save my comments for something more coherent.

this was i think maybe the first time i have ever seen a band do every perfectly that i could say a band should do to put on a good show, but not connect with me.
the sound was good, the band were good etc it just didnt give me that feeling.

fuck i love music.

/the band were good etc it just didnt give me that feeling.

Man I must've ended up with your share as well. That last song - jesus, what a thing of beauty. Fucking ambitous, and I reckon they pulled it off with style. Don't really know where to start - but for example - starting a song so slow and quiet like that - and having such confidence that the audience isn't going to just walk off, get bored or start chatting amongst themsleves is impressive. They had that place (and every other place they've ever played I imagine) totally captivated - so much so that they were singing without microphones - and this was actually a suprisingly big venue. Great act, good songs, fucking tight - I was impressed.

ok yeah i did really dig that last song.

showed up for their KA show just in time to catch them. bit bummed i missed the bleeders, but fucking hell, did the creeps play well.

their cd is going to get good play on my stereo now.
