True Colours Lineup and Schedules

Comments

I am jelious I so want to go to that so many cool bands playing but I live in aussie also does any one know when augustino album comes out.

Well, as a matter of fact... The album's due for release at the end of August, but they're releasing the single 'In and Out of Nowhere' some time before the end of June. I hope.

...and I was horrified to discover (as I'm sure *everyone* is) that they're not playing True Colours. Shame!

does anyone know how much it costs?

no, but i guess around fiddy

fiddy + 10

think i'll give it a miss this year.

why?

Wow, I only just checked the lineup to see if I'd be missing anything. I think it's a bummer that most of the bands only play for 20 minutes to half an hour. I'd much rather see the same number of bands but starting from midday or something, a la the Big Day Out. Maybe it's not feasible given the venues, and for the sake of keeping the price down, but heck, some of the breaks are longer than the actual sets!

I think that's probably to allow for the overtime etc

im not going this year!:( although i went last year!:)
i really want to go! but not enough cash and i have exams so i have to spend my weekends studying untill exams are over! :(

lifes not fair!

I've just arrived back in home (Queenstown) after Wellington True Colours - it was fantastic! All the bands were amazing- I never thought I would be into Blindspott but they have a great live show. Such a mix of muso's from Shape Shifter to Betchadupa (unfortuantely only caught the last few songs of their set - fantastic closing song in Drop D). Fanastic night!

We just got sent through this at work:
"Tickets are normally $58, but if you present your student ID or bcard at either Ticketek, Real
Groovy or on the door, you get in for ONLY $40."

gee that's fair

haha ha now i can afford to go!

mwahahahahaha!

Great deal for the students - man! That's sensational.

It cracks me up that non-students could say "Oh nah I can't spend $60, but I'd spend $50"!! Ha! What would the $10 go on otherwise......here are some eg's of what you will be missing True Colours for:

- a pack of fags, of which your friends will have 5-10.

- 1 third of a CD which will rattle around in the tray and produce no sound.

- a very old porn movie from the 80s like "Married With Hormones" or "Miami Spice".

- A Big Mac Combo and a fillet-o-fish.

- halves on a tinnie.

- A ticket to a movie.

Don't think of it as $60, think of it as $10 - always makes the alternatives seem more pointless. Also I imagine if no one goes there will not be another one. As lovers of NZ music it is thus our destiny.....

// a pack of fags, of which your friends will have 5-10.//
im quitting tomorrow.

//- halves on a tinnie.//
thats only 1/2 a joint between 2 people

// A Big Mac Combo and a fillet-o-fish.//
dont mention mclameoids, well i admit the food is ok but i hate the service

umm....another way to spend $10 will be

a dozen of rheineck or a 6 pack of monteiths pilsner
5 cheap old-as cassettes of artists who where big 10-15 years ago but are currently sponging off there govts. welfare system ie. NKOTB, Vanilla Ice, C&C Music factory, MC Hammer (not that i have any of these myself)
2 doobies.

Good to see that The Rock 'n' Roll Machine are playing! They're awesome!
