listen up fur boy you lazy wandering peasant kid. i have ahad fucken better service at otehr restaurants before, the firemans arms in petone a couple of years ago, stuffed up my meal, but in return they gave me 2 free handles of beer and a 2 for the price of one dessert - now thats fucken service for u the firemans arms is the best restaurant in the wellington area by far.

The best pizzas are home-made. Make ...

The best pizzas are home-made. Make the bases yourself as well. 500g flour, 2 tsp active yeast, pinch of salt and a tsp sugar. Add warm water to make the dough. Then roll out rounds of dough about 25 cm dia. Put the bases on to oiled sheets of foil.

Then the sauce. Roughly chop a bunch of fresh NZ tomatoes up. Squeeze out most of the juice to prevent soggy pizza. Add a goodly amount crushed garlic, salt and pepper and dried oregano. Mix it all up and leave for a half hour or so.

Then just spread that on the base, add some roughly chopped fresh basil and mozzarella cheese. Into the oven for a few minutes and presto!! The worlds best pizza.!

Just add any extras you like ... just make sure that the extras are reasonably Italian ... the idea of a Tandoori Chicken pizza is just anathema to me. About as bad as cabanossi madras!

mmmm that pizza sounds good. this recipe [dunno where it's from] makes THE best pizza:

plain base, covered in humus, then spinich leaves, chunks of feta cheese [preferably mainland - soooo good], then slices of chicken marintated in half a can of watties mild chicken korma sauce, use the remaining sauce to cover the pizza['s], cover this in good ol' mozzarella or mild cheese.

then cook at 210 degrees for about 15-20 minutes.

i lived in wellington for the summer and hell pizza was one of my best discoveries, along with eds juice bar (not like these shit juice bars popping up all over auckland where the drinks taste like watery just juice and they pretend to add all these "vitamins") anyway, awarning about hells, it really is hot. you know how if you ask most pizza places to put chilli on it still tastes bland as, well not this place! hell definitely equals firey but still yummm
