I was bored. Anyway, I thought I'd do this topic. Remember, the perfect "Track 1" is not just any old good song, but one which actually welcomes you, launches you into the album. Or something.

Elton John - Funeral for a Friend (Goodbye Yellow Brick Road)

Ah yes. Clean forgot about that one. Elton John doing prog-rock? Who woulda thought...

The album Goodbye Yellow Brick Road ain't a bad album either. I like it more that the earlier (or later) EJ albums because Bernie Taupin's lyrics are actually quite OK on it. Then Elton would lose his voice and sink into "grand old poof" abyss he's in now.

supergroove - scorpipipipipo girls (traction)

i dig the little things that lead into the album. like intro on the general electric and new detention and mellon collie... off of the album of the same name (very cool live).

also good is these shrouded temples into diblo blvd off of corrosion of conformitys live album.

and blackened. all albums should start like justice does.

achilles last stand from led zep's presece. such a ruling song. or land of sunshine - faith no more.
apart from a few obvious cases i usually skip the first song. those are all for the label moguls to gush over? track two's are where it get's interesting.

¡¡hey!!- ¡¡you ARE a doofus!

Can't say much for the one who thinks he's got better music taste than all of us.

i've noticed that

please tell me whats going on here??
when did i mention anything about superior musical taste??

what the fuck is really going on here?
¡¡hey!!- ¡¡john bonham will blow you the fuck away!!

fuck the mad cows dis-ease.

john bonham will blow you the fuck away!!

Amen, the man is god

cher to that bro'.

no i meant your second comment- from 'apart' to 'interesting'- i like bonzo- couldn't beat him when he was on- still- the song remains the same is a curious doc- it shows that led zep could still have an off day- i remember seeing them when they were on

A few favourites....

Love - Alone Again Or (Forever Changes)
Genesis - Dancing With the Moonlit Knight (Selling England By the Pound)
Van Der Graaf Generator - Killer (H to He Who am the Only One)
XTC - Summer's Cauldron (Skylarking)
Peter Gabriel - Intruder (Peter Gabriel 3)
The Beach Boys - Wouldn't it Be Nice (Pet Sounds)

Andromeda by hopesfall- real nice instrumental,
first track off stretch armstrong's latest album- awesome vocal layering and guitar leads

except for the first track of the rival school's album, which is the only decent track on the entire thing

silverchair - Emotion Sickness
Tool - Stinkfist
Tadpole - Nothing New
K's Choice - Not an Addict
Shihad - TGE Intro
Placebo - Pure Morning & Taste in Men

i think soldierboy was being serious- take your sarcasm somewhere else

And your attempt at being serious ie "MY SINCEREST APOLOGIES" topic was a walking contradiction in itself and nothing short of an apology, so take your sarcastic topics and stop making promises you can't keep.

¿nothing short of an apology?- so you're saying ¿it was an apology?

apology? far from it!

sheeit- make up your mind- ¿was it an apology or not?

Not. I made it clear in the above post, re "Apology? Far from it!". So to make sure you get it this time I meant it was not an apology meaning that im not saying it is cause if it was i wouldn't comment on it at all.

sweetie- nothing short of a disaster= a disaster- far from a disaster= not a disaster

"O Fortuna" - Carmina Burana by Carl Orff. Watching the entire thing live last year by the CSO was pretty grand.
"Skotoseme" - The Sporting Life, John Paul Jones & Diamanda Galas. None of the rest really match up to the opening track.
"Anywhere out of the World" - Within the Realm of a Dying Sun, Dead Can Dance.
"Quote Unquote" - Mr Bungle

// "Quote Unquote" - Mr Bungle
