it is getting to an age in nz music where people have to get off there backs and do things for them selves!!
that is what we did .....and are........doing!
keen to know how many other bands out there, all people's opinions on
how far do you take a self funded project?
we love what we do but Hell it costs us a dime!!!
people seem to be checking the post so go to the link site,
go to downloads and there is a "quick time" scoop of our
music video, low quality upload but still choice!
check it out and give me a comment
hey malyon, downloaded it, but it was a suspiciously small 23k in size, and when I went to open it, my quicktime player reported that: "the moviefile 'roadrage_prime3.aif' cannot be found. Without this file the movie cannot play correctly"
Yeah a long time ago in a galxay far far away we made a music video on no budget... It was called 'Big Meat Eater' and got played at the Incredibly Strange Film Festival in Wellington. Theres no way it could ever be shown on TV in this country (actaully probably most countries)...
The video was funded by goodwill, plenty of booze and quite a bit of drugs...
Our vid for "6 Days Of Silence" got made for about $800. $500 of that was for editing, a couple of hundred for Betacam masters, $40 for some miniDV tapes and the rest on pies and coke and Red Bull.
ours was around that 1000 dollar mark paying telecine with wine as well as the editing crew
$500 for the film stock and a whole lot of free labour from friends made it possible.
i did a soundtrack for a friends short film in the nz film festival and the video
was his payment to me, cool as!!!1
We made our vid at THE CUSP`03...we had 5 cameras and got Tamas bro to edit it for us...it cost us $80 for tape. We are releasing it this weekend at The Phat Club..with 1QA and Cripple Mr Onion - See you there Fud!!!!
