try Kitsch - Love songs for romantic punks, you can pick it up at most places for $25. i love it, 16 songs, 31 minute cd, nice and fast :)
if you want metal though - all i can say is mudvayne - end of all things to come. i bought this cd as a gamble only knowing 1 songs before buying it, and now i love it, i can't stop listening to it, alot better than the LD 50.

I'm still waiting to buy the new Placebo cd since i thought it was out last monday then i found out its not instore till 2 weeks. it sucks how they hyped Linkin Parks new album and gave it a midnight opening with a DVD and they didn't even bother to get Placebo in on time! grrrrrrr but all that aside i haven't bought any cds that have came out this year but the most recent ones in proper time continuity would be Goldenhorses "Riverhead' and Audioslave which i won. Got Goldenhorse from echo. up next to get released 2003 > The brunettes - Boy Racer EP another cd which just got overlooked for the real release date!

o come on ls- you can't be serious- there is the same % of good to bad in every era- goddamn the hours i wasted arguing that modern music wouldn't better the golden age of 30's & 40's jazz - to quote the nazz- i can't see a thing till i open my eyes- it's just that mainly the good stuff of the 60's & seventies lasts in our collective consciousness- & the stuff which was then undiscovered is now widely appreciated- & you get this kinda rose tinted view- but believe me there's a lot of stuff done then which was mediocre to the extreme- you just don't hear it anymore- remember music has been commercial since the printing press
