No, I am an Orklander, but someone in Wellington will - eh? Proving they are bigger than holding grudges over people's musical opinions ( be they a bit spoiling ) - eh? Wellingtonians?
//You must be a twatty private-schooler like me!
Ha ha ha ha ha ha. Now what makes you say that Dr Gymkhana?
You know what? I'd love to go shopping with you at the Chancery. Shopping with chicks is actually a lot of fun. I get dragged into the most weirdest stores and learn the special bargain hunting techniques. Its damn near exhausting shopping with women... Though I can see why women love to shop, its a form of therapy.... One thing I don't understand is they all seem to think that anything that comes out of "Just Jeans" is like sooooooo cool.
Just Jeans?
Well, if that's your bag, I'm not the shopping pal for you, hun. Nothing against 'em, nice jeans, but the whole paisley-peasant-thing all the jeanswear chainstores have going makes me want to hurl, seriously.
Not that I have any real style.
Meh.
Sweet as.. You must be at Kings, cause they have the highest Audi to Student ratio... I've had a chat to few of them on the train, and they're funny but not as funny as the clowns from De La Salle...
No I hate Just Jeans, they seem to have a hipnotic effect on my chicky-friends. (Slappers). Everyone has style, but not everyone has class.... And yes Y Real Groovy is an excellent store, i've been a loyal customer ever since I was 12 years old.
I think the new Bodega on ghuznee explicitly states they have wheelchair access down back.. Valve shouldn't be a mission to get into (all flat & pretty accessible at least pre-gig, before it fills up with people..).. on the off chance that there's a thistle hall gig I believe you're pretty screwed.
uhhh indigo will be out too.. that's stair city (as far as I know, there may be a back way or something).. if I remember anything else I'll be back.
crap, replied to the earlier post first. sorry, lena... but disasteradio's right. i forgot about the bodega backdoor, despite tumbling out of it many times recently after close. its on the flat although the ladies' has a step.
to restate my misplaced earlier post, valves on the flat, but not very easy to navigate, and starlight ballrooms got steps all aver the show. but the indigo bouncers have lifted many a wheelchair, although the back doors just as much of a nightmare as the front ion terms of steps. the bogs are pretty ghastly in all three for access.
The pains of first floor tenancy. But have you seen the price of ground floor tenancies! :-)
Best advice: ring before, and we at Indigo anyway are more than happy to carry you, your wheelchair, your possesions up the 1 flight of stairs.
Watch this space though, hopefully within 12 months, it'll all be heaps easier.
