I have abit of a headscratcher, I wonder if some people could help me out with.
I've gotta brainstorm, any songs from whenever by whoever - which have been written about a New Zealand city or region.
I don't mean cheesey promo songs either, just songs that were written about any New Zealand cities or provinces or whatever.
It doesn't have to mention the name of the city in the lyrics.
For instance, London may have 'London Calling' by the Clash. New York New York for ... well der.
Stuff like that.
Any ideas?

how about find a copy of CANTERBURY Drafts by Dark Tower.
on it there's:
Land of the Long white cloud (generally about chch and canterbury)
Southward Bound (about travelling down New Zealand)
Canterbury Drafts (about the transition from chch to auckland)
or the Shadows on a Flat Land album. (canterbury)
or you might like to find a copy of 'stuff like that' by LINDON PUFFIN.
and you can find some nice songs about the Canterbury region.
