but what if we like have Phil guest star in a Hulk comic? Then Hulk would kick his ass on paper! ha ha ha! Or maybe Hulk and Phil might team up against Metallica.

Although I would rate Master of Puppets as one of my all time favourite thrash albums, right up there with Reign in Blood, I wouldn't listen to anything post Burton. Out of the big five from that whole genre of metal ( Metallica, Megadeth, Pantera, Slayer, Anthrax ), Slayer are the only ones still playing together today & have not compromised at all with regards to their sound ie. God Hates Us All is just as ferocious as say Haunting the Chapel. Metallica “sold out” after the black album, Megadeth disappeared up Dave Mustaine's arsehole a loooong time ago ( Rust in Peace Polaris is another one of my favs though ), Pantera haven't been in the running since Phil has been busy with other projects ie. Down, and as far as I'm aware Anthrax haven't released a decent album since Sound of White Noise. So that is why I would chose Slayer over any of the other big five, they're like the Rolling Stones of metal.
I just can't understand why in the world Mr Kerry King agreed to appear in that Sum 41 video, I mean, what the **** is up with that shit?
by not compromising I mean they have never strayed away from the brutally heavy sound that is the Slayer trademark. Although I think Diabolus in Musica sees the band changing tempos alot in the songs, making different dynamics and adding a few new technical tricks here & there, admittedly it does kinda make the songs less catchy. No doubt this was a bit of an anticlimax for those who had come to know the reigning thrash metal kings for their somewhat generic but memorable hooks & riffs. And the drumming is no Reign In Blood.... Having said that though, it is still a thrash album and the attitude is still there. It's uncompromising and very brutal. And when it comes to God Hates Us All, it's like Nu Metal never happened and they aren't about to sell out with a name like " God Hates Us All " ( the original cover for the album had to have an additional inlay sleeve before most record stores would agree to sell it ). While it is no scratch on Reign In Blood, it is still one very brutal thrash album, with loads of guitar solos & Slayer still have that effortless control and precision, all the while playing at break neck speeds. I don't think the same could be said for Metallica or Megadeth. Phew! sorry to ramble. I don't even listen to Slayer all that much anymore, but I just feel the need to jump and stick up for them all the time for some odd reason.
