I think the problem with M2 is that they had their top 12 and new release show form 12 - 1
about as late as most people will stay up.
That might have made commercial sense to them but it meant that you ended up seing the same videos again and again with little variety.
You could see the hosts geting progressivley annoyed with playing the same Linkin Park/Deftones nu metal vids over and over, night after night.

Wasn't going to happen.
