Brent Hansen talks to Wellington Music Industry

Forums: NZ Music,

there was an article about brent hansen in the weekend herald today. i especially loved this bit:

"He advances another theory that New Zealand music is generally "too good" compared to the formulaic pop supplied to most radio and television stations, making it harder to get airtime."

nobody would happen to have a transcript of what was said at the above event, i really wish i could've made it there.

well hmm... waiting in the foyer made me extremely nervous, so much wank... escaping into the dimly lit theatre was a relief especially cause i could hear the sweet sounds of jakob.. and then - goddam theyr'e playin eds vid.. trippy.. but then like 10 mins into blah blah blah i was like , what the hell.. shite , someone stole my money and locked me in a room fulla badies ..

some stuff was fun tho,.. i was the guy who laughed everytime the girls college came up on screen.. just staring blankly at us..teacher hovering around the back menacingly. girls lifting up there skirts under the table (anyone else notice this, it may have been my imagination, that was all i had to entertain me). i thought it was a little clever thing to weed out the squares... but no .. i thought the welcome to sony handicam graphic was pretty damm funny too... apparently not a joke ..

then there was brent, his this is my life was kinda interesting and he was a very knowledgable and likable fulla... no idea who thought it was a good idea to have him chat to film makers and musos .. he's like .. "yip your stuff is awesome guys, luv the music , luv the vids.. but we aint gonna play then, no way" .. ahuh

then there was the questions the audience dreamed up... oh my lordy lord, that was the most painful part,.. except for james barrs show me the money question.. i liked that

and nice to meet ya dusty boy, must have coffee sometime

why , why why tell me someone ...
