BDO Confirmed for 2004

Forums: NZ Music,

*breathes again*

now i can finally sleep at night!

I'm not quite sure how I got my name on the above comment, but anyway a few words to say...

I think this is a good surprise for ya kids down there. Word had been that this year's bdo was the last. This was because it appears that Aussie was succumbing to the scourge of humankind known as the 'radio station festival'. Very common here in the states, where some crappy station basically blackmails bands into playing at their shitty festival otherwise they wont be played on the radio. This is especially nasty here in the states where one company ('the Clear Channel' : 666!) owns a massive chunk of the radio market and at the same time controls a massive proportion of gig venues. So, basically bands get sucked into these crappy festivals and then have to sign exclusivity deals so they wont play anywhere nearby soon.

I'm glad that this shit hasn't killed the bdo, even though I think the headliners are not what they used to be. The news over here in the states is that Perry Farrell has re-activated Lollapalooza, but the lineup so far doesnt look as good as the ones in the days of old. I think the pick of the summer festivals in the US will end up being All tomorrows parties in LA and NYC. Hope I can get a ticket!

well whatever, our bands kick arse anyway! hehe :D

Yippedy-skip

I hope MetallicA come & I hope I will be up there to watch them

Yeah it will be interesting to see how the band goes with Jesse Camp.

ha...... not funny

That thread got you going, just look at your first comment.

so what?

The W. Axl Rose band should come. Simple as that. Everyone needs to see fuckethead in action.

now that would be good for a laugh

YAY!!! im so happy and excited!

*jumps up and down in excitement*

What the kids REALLY need is AC/DC to headline.

now that would be cool, or Black Sabbath

I can just picture the young tadpole fans up the front looking around blankly when they rip into Thunderstruck.

That's so true

Maaaate! What you need is a NZ chapter of Ozzfest.

yes bring ozzfest to nz!

i've been to an england ozzfest, that fucking rocked

I would not be surprised to see Pacifier added to the Ozzfest bill this year. I dont know whether theyre pushing for it but they should!

slapper/wigger fest 2004....when will the madness end.
