My dogs names are pokey, curly, and igor. Well actually igor's name is maggie but i refuse to call her that, sometimes i settle with maggot. Even if she's only a tiny Chihauhau, she needs a name with some balls!

Um...kitty names...i like names that are either:
*rediculous like curly pokey, ie. something stupid and that doesn't relate to the animal at all.
*something formal, like Henry George the III (what my sister decided to name her cat at age three?! - she refused to only call it Henry, or George, but it had to be henry george the third. oh dear)

um, how about Spice? i mean the pretty kitty is ginger so y not?

Hmm - the name of your cat depends so much on your concept of the relationship you'll be having with it and what sort of nature it has - we had a cat called Boris which was a totally appropriate name for someone of his temperament. Calling your kitten Cat (or Kat) in line with your earlier naming conventions won't reflect a very grown up attitude on your part to this relationship and may cause severe psychological damage once the kitten realises that you haven't gone beyond her genus - unless maybe its short for Catherine the Great.

I do have one suggestion, made without any knowledge of this cat, so it may not prove appropriate, but I was thinking of Lucifer. Of course, there may be harm done if the kitten is female and sees Lucifer as purely a male name, but I'd suggest she get over it. I think before Lucifer made his play for power, he was a pretty good sort, 2IC in heaven and so on, and it will bring with it sugestions of your home being heaven, you being God (rather than letting the cat think she is) and the name evokes the idea of light. Or maybe you could just run with Lucy as the name?

i had a cat called Fluffy, she rocked, sometimes i called her Fluffyballs, Fluffybum etc. i think a cool name for your cat would be Garlick, dont ask me why....
