Hello everyone. I am working on a portrait of Jarvis Cocker for my art class. I am wanting to do something that shows alot of his personality and charisma. I have quite a comic way of drawing.
I was wondering if anyone here thought there was something i should include in the piece? You know, a stance, maybe he could be holiding something, i don't know.
So far i'm going with him standing in the middle of the canvas (extremely tall and thin, with those tiny lips, everything over exagerated of course). I was thinking perhaps he could have many different arms making different gestures, one holding a cracked cup of tea (different class style comment, very english) and another with his hand on his crutch, etc.
I was also thinking of having him black and white like a cut out, a la , disco 2000.
Anyway, if anyone has any ideas, fill me in.

And i just wanted to clear up that i have a lot of ideas, but was looking if anyone had any information on jarvis that might help the piece (i know a fair bit about him but i'm sure some nzmers might know more).
And also, this is my first piece so any tips are welcome too. Art is really about your own ideas, but I am open to work with people's suggestions (i'm learning too)...

Holding a microphone (an old '50s stylr mike) which would be very tall and skinny like he is. He could be crooning into it, or flourishing it. Maybe a cigarette in the other hand.
