well I dunno - a week of 100% NZ music on any radiostation is pretty fine but I wouldn't want say 2 weeks in a row - too introspectiveish (not sure if that's a word but ya know what I'm on about eh?) - I like to know what else is happening around this planet. But that said I do agree that 1 NZ music week once a year sure doesn't feel like much I'd like 1 NZ music week every season. So 4 weeks instead of 1pa
I'd like to see more NZ music on tv, not just music vids but everytime you hear music on sports, ads, news, tv hows it should be nz music. Even as back ground music.... then it'll seep into our heads.Well maybe... overall it should just be "built into" our culture more.

Just to let you know, I'm an editor at TVNZ, I'm also a musician so I know the importance of getting as much NZ music on air as we can.I always look for NZ music first when needing something to put into a story ie the "Holmes" story last week on Street Hoons had the song "BURN" from the Chch band Seven Tongues album the Modern Mammal. If anyone has any NZ music they want considered for any future items send them to Paul Sparkes, TVNZ,PO BOX 1945, Christchurch.
