Flight of the Concords

This is the general discussion forum for Flight of the Concords

Forums: Bands,

YAY! I'm glad I FINALLY got to hear the full version of this song! (and not just from a radio interview.) I've only heard a snippet of it (from the same site where you can buy the CD and all) at http://www.smokecds.com/cd/31015?PHPSESSID=0c548adaf4d9172b4f9257e57060d...

But now, thanks to this one here at NZmusic, I've been able to hear the whole version that was recorded, and you know what? I don't think I could find enough words to express myself about this song. I'll just say that if one hasn't heard it yet, then one should get their butt in gear and take a listen. (And buy the CD!) hehehe

(I found that site and this one thanks to the http://www.figwitlives.net site. I also drew a fan-art picture of Figwit there. If you're ever interested, go take a look. It would say that the picture was drawn by Candice. *wink*)

LOVE this song!

(and my personal site is listed somewhere with this comment, too, but it's not half as good... YET... I'll be having a fansite for Flight of the Conchords somewhere down the line. These guys are great!!!)

ER... the one I was talking about that you could buy? That link is too long, and I'm picky. This is the link where you could buy it, instead. I would, but I can't get a credit card. If they would take money orders, then sure! I would have had it for a long time, by now.

Entertaining show at Happy last night. If anyone is wavering about whether to go tonight: you won't be disappointed. Do go EARLY though because as you'll know if you've been to Happy before, there are not many seats. Plus it's sold out the last two nights.

wats with that the link doesent work it comes up with a little picture and i logged in and stuff.

Wow choice! Big ups to Flight of the Conchords - they've just signed a development deal with NBC for their own TV show!

yeah crazy aye - good on them. Lets hope NBC buy into producing the show and those boys make millions

I don't know whether to be scared or thrilled. I'm from americker and I've seen what we've done to brilliant shows/people in the past (our remakes of the Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin, AbFab, Hong Kong movie stars, etc. come to mind). Oh yeah, I used to be an employee of NBC, too. There's a reason why Conan O'Brien is on in the middle of the night...Prime time is reserved for the lowest common demoninator.

I'm hoping that they get put on the Bravo Channel, which NBC owns, where folks seem to have a bit more freedom of expression and the demographic stands a chance of "getting it." If nothing else, I'll try to drag my pregnant ass down to LA (5 hour car ride) to see them showcase some things, if rumors on What the Folk are true.

I love FotC. I saw their two strange (the audience's fault, not theirs) at the Opera House during the last NZ Fest. They are brilliant.

yeah, hope they make heaps of money!

Yea it didn't work for me either, PLease fix it!

Their latest coup, a 6 part radio series on the BBC.

very cool.

they seem to be following a similar trajectory as the League of Gentlemen team (stage, radio, tv, film). Hopefully they'll end up having a similar level of success.

They've just launched their official website. I may have had something to do with it. Peace.

I heard this on radio 2 last weekend while driving around cornwall with my mum and almost drove off the little lanes in fits of laughter. This is absolute class and Chris Morris is involved!! Will absolutely listen to the next one. Well done.

you can 'hear it again' if you go to the Radio2 website, go to 'Listen Again', click on Comedy, there it is.

god i love the BBC and their listen again thaing.

Haha, been listening to the tunes on their myspace page, laughing to myself... Hmm.

"You lean in close and you say something like 'Is that it?' I know what you're trying to say, baby, you're trying to say 'Awww yeah, that's it!'"

OH, warms the cockles! Defective yeti in Seattle relayed that a couple of trick-or-treaters were dressed up as Jemaine & Bret.
