your Wedding Song!

oK, since theres a funeral song thread, i think its only fitting theres a wedding song one too! besides, theres too much talk of death and stuff on this forum! Even if you're like me and the very thought of marriage scares you to death, just give a couple of songs anyway!

Reindeer section>You are my Joy
Zwan>Honestly

ok, i had more but i've forgotten them now!

Forums: The Bar,

"closer" by nine inch nails.

haha

but really, i don't want to get married. costs too much, and you have to pay for the divorce at some point as well.

a wedding song?? ha....... I don't see this happening anytime soon.

Run To The Hills - Iron Maiden :)

haha, excellent choice

Everyone at the ceremony is wearing rollerskates and large headphones, wired for sound starts playing and my husband reveals his true identity as cli...
ok maybe i should stop this. now. :-D

I think my husband should sing 'mary' by supergrass. I am fairly scary afterall ;-)

Me and my wife danced to Wouldn't It Be Nice by The Beach Boys

We didn't have a wedding song as such, but 'our' song is the Bilge Festival's "Wildebeest a-go-go", oddly enough.

I don't really put much thought in marriage. I'm not even sure if i want to get married, its typical to.
But if i would it would probably be:

"Miss You Love" - silverchair
"Without You I'm Nothing" - Placebo
"3 Libras" - A Perfect Circle

'Lets Dance' Bowie

im 16! i shudnt be thinking bout that sorta shit! anyway i can only get married if i had my parents consent (i think)

my wedding songs, becuse im likely to get married more than once

bliss - muse
tainted love - marilyn manson
new wave - playmo
licking cream - sevendust
outside - staind with fred durst

//outside - staind with fred durst

Fred wreaks that song, at first I didn't like that song because of his comments 'I can feel your lighters'

i know what you mean, i just like that version better because with fred and aaron both singing it sounds better and they mean compliment each others voices

Aaron Lewis' version of Black (the Pearl Jam song) is great. I reckon his voice makes it better than the original. Just him and his guitar. He makes it so much more emotional, and hell, it's an emotional song! Not that I'd use it for a wedding song.

Aaron Lewis is a whiney bitch.

so is DJ Will, but we still like him!

kidding, will...

i heard that version of black on the radio once. ive never listened to the radio since.

true that dr gym' he does a really wicked cover of it, ive only ever heard the live one thou
do you know if thewy do a stupid version>?

a stupid version?? what like the sing out of tune with different lyrics playing on kitchen pans??

I like Pearl Jam version better

studio!!lol
note to self check spelling before posting..

In Love - the Datsuns

saw that one coming from a mile away :P

you ARE forum-stalking me!

no it just happens that you posted while i was online, i happened to see the whole thing cause it was at the top post list thingy below the topics, and even ask steve, its just so obvious i had ot reply.

don't lie! I'm not only talking about this topic. And leave Dolf alone, he's too beautiful to mock.

have to have a good think, but at the moment i'd have to say.

Metallica - Nothing else matters

This has been played (minus the lyrics) at my grandparents funerals. All the oldies thought it was lovely

This Love - Pantera.

Heavy Metal celebration of love... in God's presence.

(I am listening to it right now, you see)

nice song... but thats not really the kind of love you want when youre just getting married is it...?
"but you make me so unhappy
id take my life and leave love with you"

I am pretty sure that I'd be single at about the time the guitars scream into action.

That was the Live version, by the way.

well if i ever do get married which doesnt look likely it would basically be a big concert, id get lots of bands to play, and me and my husband would sing that song from moulin rouge - Come What May, because its so cheesy and aww so nice. but the song i would like to be playing when im coming down the isle or whatever i come down would have to be.....bah i would have to think about that one..

Radiohead - no surprises? i don't know why though...

New Idea:
No more Shall We Part - Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds.

How about "Loom of the land"?

Aw crap, he kills his lover in that song - Nick quite likes doing that.
Great song, though.

Hold on, it'll be "Plain gold ring" ! !

Chicks really love that song. It scares me.

I guess I'm not the marrying kind . . .

At my wedding we had a medieval ensemble play. They played when I walked down the aisle, and they sang a great little madrigal about birds in spring or some similar pastoral theme (complete with mandolin - I looooove the mandolin) when we were signing the register. It was sooooo cool! Still brings a tear to my eye...

Harmonic Generator...complete with a fleet....(is that the right word?!? a fleat..? ok an orchestra) of HARMONICAS..... - i mean its only fitting since i'm marrying Dolf....

Otherwise...me and my future husband will be getting married to a medley of Grease songs...complete with dance routines and costumes.

:) :) :)

definatly any Dead Kennedys song or 45 minute psychedelic sludge Guitar solos
