heres the idea: everyone recommend one not-so-wellknown artist (from new zealand or otherwise) and a good song from them. then make an effort to have a listen to something that someone else has recommended.
we can call it an exercise in broadening our musical tastes :)

believe me, i have tried. unfortunately they're not quite ready to give up their limp bizkit cds just yet. it's tragic. thankfully they have learned to not put their horrific music on when i come over. we have settled on compilation cds (natures best, and funky 60's compilations).

OK, I cannot put this boldly enough, ICEHOUSE! Anyone who is into cheesy 80's synth pop-rock will love it. Try "Electric Blue" or "Crazy". Anything of the Man of Colours CD is good. Any other fans out there?

Haha, yeah I first heard it on The Rock. I haven't heard any other stuff, but I had a look at their site and saw that they debuted (sp? fuck thats wrong, I'm tired) at #14 on the American charts. And guess who they're touring with?
" 2003 US DATES ANNOUNCED! As soon as they're back on American soil, Chevelle will head out on a few US dates with Trust Co, Cinder, Pacifier & 30 STM 2/6-2/9" - woohoo!
Also, good to see some Icehouse fans out there. These guys were my childhood idols (along with both MJ's). The Rock has started playing them again, which is heaven...!
"Well, you've gotta be crazy, baby, to want a guy like me. Yeah, you've gotta be out of your mind.

So if I'm dreaming, don't wake me tonight. If this is all wrong, I don't want it right.
'Cause you're the one sure thing, when I get lost in the game, once again. Hey! I'm a lucky guy
