Icky guys trying to hit on me: 1 - and what a freak he was. I don't know if there are rules for chatting up girls, but I do know that if there are, he broke every last one of them. Isn't it funny how you can tell that a guy is sleazing onto you by the way they start every sentence with "I'm not being sleazy..."

Feet In Mouth: 2 - some guy asked me what I thought of the Offbeats, and I told him the truth. He turned out to be their manager, and took it very personally. I don't think I was really rude or anything, they're just not my cuppa tea...
awwww, geeez! All I said was that I preferred the other bands... and I thought they were struggling a bit to keep in time in a couple of the faster songs at the beginning of their set.
I like using "skanking" as often as possible, especially around friends of mine who are only familiar with "skanky ho" type use. So I get reactions like, "you were doing *what* last night?"
'Twas really nice meeting you, Heather. I was glad to see that Chops behaved himself.
I still have a few sore muscles from all the skanking I did. But I've got a big ol' review 90% written, so that should be up here (somewhere) pretty soon.

When I arrived at the Kings Arms I saw a bunch of dodgy looking people wearing camouflage gear hanging around in the back of the carpark. I figured it was some crazy militia who'd showed up. Little did I know that it was 4 Man Bob. They were heaps better than when I saw them in December. They managed to get some people dancing and set the evening off to a good start.
This morning I woke up with one of their songs in my head! I'll be sure to see them the next time they play up here.

I think they were my favourite band on the night; nice blend of ska and funky rock; tight as and lotsa fun. Will definitely see them again.
4man Bob are dope. not only do they kick ass but theyre such cool friendly guys (and gal) too. im really lookin forward to seeing them on their own turf when we go down to CHCH

I'm glad to see these guys getting around, they played b4 my band a lot here in chch.. bit of a mis-match in genres.. but I think the SKA thing is coming around again... they're damn good at it too... bit of diversity there and it was always good to see what they were going to dress up in next heh :)
