Hey does anyone know if you can put Tapes like audible tapes in an envelope? Is it legal? Will they get some weird idea of a terrorist attack?? I can't afford to use a proper package bag and i'm gonna send in a couple of minutes before the postman collects the rest of the mail!

Perfectly legal I expect, but you'd have to pay extra postage. It probably wouldn't cost much less than a proper package bag anyway.

Why do they want extra? I mean it costs 40c to send a letter to Wellington, and we've had some really thick insurance bills about as thick as a tape would be but i don't recall any extra cost. What if i try to hide the tape without the case with a whole lot of a4 paper wrapped around it?
Like how much would it cost like 80c?

Well, it's either "take a 30-second squizz at a site to help out a mate" or "do the mindbogglingly dull work that I've been putting off for the last week now". Who's doing the favour here, really?

definitely. Besides, it's quite entertaining reading about you rushing around desperately searching for bubblewrap and stamps, and trying to measure the thickness of a letter with a ruler.

sending tapes in envelopes the get there it just depends where you live if you want it to get there safely leave it our of a case theose things shatter in the machines. Tapes are relatively hard to break.
40c will do the trick for getting it around the country, 80c and fastpost sticker will get it there in a slightly better condition as that stuff "should" be process by hand.
sending internationally I seriously recomend CD and bubble, as the US are really good at using things that wipe tapes

Yeah, leave the tape out of the case. If anything's going to break, it'll be the case. You don't even need bubble wrap, just a few layers of newspaper ought to do the trick.
