Whopper Choopers run every summer in the Wellington region. 4 day time concert/picnic things in 4 weekends. Not actually sure who is playing at each one... but the first one is on the 20th at Frank Kitts Park, I think... I will check the poster when I go out for Lunch, and let you know this afternoon.

i think they're tryin to pull in the people, with pluto and maybe wash and the hip hop...
there is only 1 bands in square this year. usually there are 2 or 3. so there weren't many slots for local acts. I think it's a great diverse line-up, something for everybody.
yeah and give up their personal time with their families or what ever they mite do in wellington, it could be a possiblity

ahh.. i think it's actually about promoting a radio station. they have acts play who are big acts on that radio station, the fact they kindly offer a slot to a welly band is fantastic and they should be applauded for actually letting a local band who has recieved no radio play play such a great gig.

i'm actually really pleased with the line up for this year, such a diverse range in bands - mean i never pictured pluto and four corners and scribe doing a gig together - thats pretty cool.
1QA - haven't seen them since rockquest finals year before last, i'm interested to hear their sound now.
wash - not on the top of my list cause i've seen these guys twice before, but these guys work well on stage so yea, great to see that kinda shit happening
Pluto - sooooo excited about pluto, i missed them at B.I.T.S last year, so this year i am completly amped to see them!.
Four corners and scribe - not a huge fan of these guys, but their work with P-Money is something special
The Have - missed them when they played at zeal late year [crap advertising posters] so im finally gonna see what all the fuss is about....
i think that it may actually be worth my while this year seeing if i can get off work early to get myself a good spot in civic square.
