Zed who? This is the future

Goodshirt from Auckland release their debut album 'good' on Monday which is an absolute stonker. One of the most infectious and original sounds ive heard in a long time. think Split Enz, Devo & a bit of Bressa creeting cake.
What makes it even better is that they recorded it themselves in a garden shed.
Id put a cheeky fiver on them going far if they can keep producing quirky catchy
synth pop, rock tunes like 'Blowing dirt'.
Has anyone seen them live?

Forums: NZ Music,

saw them live at valve (in wellies) a few weeks back - seen a lot there but they were one of the best i've seen. only saw the first 3 songs -including 'blowing dirt' but it was enough to keep me buzzing for a day or 2 - and i don't even really like the songs that much (bit of a gurge rip-off). very 'endearing' front man too. i agree with you - i suspect they'll do well with all (the tastless young ones, critics and the essential ladies also!)

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh........I met Rodney and the boys in the weekend, and saw them play(chch winter carnival), IT WENT OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They all signed my CD and the gig was just great! i LOVE the CD and my friend and i are figuring out the chords/tabs so we can play the songs...i love Rodney...but i'm scared he'll bite off his tongue when dancing...
