And I'd like to say a massive thanks to Orkid, Clowndog, Jester, Deluxe Boy and The Cooltones for kicking off what hopes to be a massive year for local artists. I'm definitely looking at putting another show on. But alas I now have no money so am looking for funding for #2. If anyone out there knows of people who really want to get Chch Music pumping to a larger crowd, and can supply or help with anything, drop me a line @ stacey.hancock@morefm.co.nz. Or if there's a rich millionaire reading this post, who can spare $10,000 for a positive cause, let me know.
Also...don't forget it's Slim and Fuce's final gig on Saturday night @ The Jetset. It's only $6...sure that's all manageable. As you all know Carla Potter (BRAT) has done an amazing job for local music so if anything, please come and support her for the 10 years of her life she's spent looking after the likes of us and our bands. cheers

Thanks everyone who came to the Polytech, I thought we would be playing to a teeny crowd but it was beautiful to see the cooltones family represent. Much LOVE.
We are getting the cash together for the EP at the moment, we want heaps so we can make something really amazing, probably heaps of new stuff. (Tell us what you want on it and well have a think about it).
As for tours, probably when the EP is finished. We would love to go to Welly soon though!

We's is soupin it up. Were playing at the Dux on the 14th and in the Gardens for an anti war thing on the next day. Then at Splashout 2003 at Jelly Park on the 23rd. So we may play your namesake then if it's ready. It's something were humming and harring at the moment. Another thing were hummin' and a haaring at the mo' is "Who is the chick who keeps throwing kickers on stage?"

Splash out 2003 should be good we's are very excited to be playing...first time at a pool...playing, I mean..
We can bring our own guitar amp (combo) kick, snare, hats, cymbols and bass head and if needed a 2x12 bass cab but if we could use your cab it would be wicked.
Splash out should be primo indeed, rockin out, sunshine 'n' bikinis, dats what its all about!
Not to sure what the songs are called (that is why the cooltones need a cd, so we (the fans) can get familar with our favourite songs)
But I do like the new stuff!!!!!!!!

We are playing at orientation in the UCSA ballroom 1st of march.
Tickets are 5 bucks and there are 5 bands: Seven tongues, Paselode, Cooltones, Hooster and New damage. It's gonna be fun..can't wait to get loose on that stage. So many top notch bands have played there (violent femmes etc).
Also my other Lazy is doing a lunchtime gig on the 21st Feb at the Canta Uni in the amphitheatre. Hope to see all you fine people there.

And sorry to all the peps that came to see us at the Peace Picnic. There was a meditation group at the town hall. And a guy fron the city councel complained about the noise. And our crazy ass funkiness would of been too loud. But nevermind it was nice to be there.

Once again, sorry we didn't play at the peace gig. The council were putting on the hard word. It was a wicked event and we didn't want to cause any hassles between the council and the organisers so it was best we bow out and keep everything mellow. Sorry you waited all day, I hope you had a good time any way.
