I have a question and I am hoping someone out there can help me. Why is it that there are no Fits recordings older than 'Blow' available anymore? For ages I have been wanting to get 'Hail' and 'Melt', but they seem to have been deleted by Flying Nun. The only ones still available are the 'Best Of', 'Blow', and the 'Done EP'. I have found a few second-hand singles but no copies of the early albums.
This is really starting to frustrate me as I am keen to pick up as much Fits stuff as I can. I can't believe that those albums would be deleted completely and if so it is a crime against great music that they are no longer available. Does anyone have any answers?

You can probably find a second hand copy of Melt at real groovy or slow boat records, they've occasionally got them in there. I cant find Hail either, and Flying nun arent planning to re-release Hail anytime soon

I've been keeping an eye at Slowboat but so far no luck. That really sucks that NZ's greatest rock band can't reach as many people as they should, all because of Flying Nun.

Ah, the great Melt hunt. Slowboat got a bunch in earlier this year (at $2 a pop from some online remainder store or something) but they lasted about, oh, five minutes. Worth having a look at some of the specialist online music stores like NetSounds...
