Ok, so i'm unlikely to ever be in a band, so u can have my contemplated band names. although they probably all exist sumwhere already, but hey. here they are....The Groupies, (ok, thats not really a serious one)...Superliminal (meaning the opposite of subliminal)....Cloudburst (got that 1 from a magazine just now)...Disquiet... or how about The Bees (since u like The Hives) or maybe Rippling Crystal (scientists in Japan have made the first movies of ripples racing over the surfaces of crystals) haha that was kinda random, but it was in Dad's New Scientist magazine! oooh, u could call yourselves Nyahh! right, i'm outta suggestions. I really would have liked to call a band The Start, but then I found out there was already a band with that name! Gutting! Ok, I'm outta here. One last suggestion: The Suggestions!

Hey dudes thanks for the help. Im still fucked though. Itn seems the band all have differnt ideas on what to call our band. Still, if anyone thinks of some good names, chuck 'em in here.

Ive just started a band on wednesday, we kick ass. I was soo suprised how good we were on our first ever practice (in a none cocky way). We are also going through the same problem with deciding a band name. The name you choose should reflect on style of music you play. Blindspott would not be where they are today if they where called "the potato heads". If you play punk or pop then i silly name will be excepted. If your in a metal band just think of something to with death. you get the picture. Im not going to tell you my ideas thou.

I don't think you have to angst over getting the exact perfect band name, really. After all, when you've started getting some exposure, after a few months the name will just be part of "rockin band" rather than "rockin band but what the hell kinda stupid name is Fur Patrol??"

if youre gonna get a band name, try thinking about the inspiration you get for writing youre own music?and work from there, pitch ideas to other band members etc

how bout you just write some more songs and then decide on a name.
