The chicken man

Buckethead, the guy or thing is amazing. He's a real guitar prodigy

Forums: The Bar,

i prefer robin finck.
although they compliment each other quite nicely.

Finck's way more in the slash mould, but a cheap watery imitation. Buck is so much better it ain't funny.

Is that Robin Finck from NIN? Is he in the gunners now?

And Buckethead may be a good guitarist... but honestly... a KFC bucket? What a dickhead.

i wouldnt say finck is anything like slash. his style is totally different (i couldn't picture slash in NIN).

yep he's a gunner and has been since '97

not entirely. finck is the touring guitarist for both bands.
anyway, he should've stayed in NIN. axl's new "guns n roses" is an embarrassment.

I'm pretty sure he's more than a touring guitarist for the embarrassment.

i don't think he really is.
when they first hired him he was under contract to the embarrassment for two years. he recorded some guitar tracks for the new album. he was promised that the album would be released and that there would be a tour following that within those two years. of course, axl being the slack bastard he is, didn't release his album and didn't tour. after robins contract was up he decided to join nine inch nails on the fragility tour 2000, since his main reason for joining the embarrassing band with the chicken man was so that he could tour, and he didn't.

anyway, fatty- i mean AXL got so annoyed that robin left, that he cut all his guitar tracks out of the elusive new album. after the nine inch nails tour, robin rejoined the embarrassment for their tour, and axl put a few of robins guitar tracks back on the album (many of them had been replaced in the meantime).

IN CONCLUSION: robin is a touring guitarist. :D

Stink joining fat bastard's embarrassment has been so good for him it ain't funny. face it, before he did he was a mediocre guitarist at best. Him being next to a guitar prodigy like the chicken man has increased his skill so much.

//before he did he was a mediocre guitarist at best.

ha!

true, maybe playing with gunners has made him a better guitarist (because he had to change styles), but he has always been good. i don't think they would've had him in NIN if he was crap.

They're both stunt-cock guitarists (ie; hired help). They are professionals, and no professionals get there by being crap. If I was Axl, I'd definately prefer having Finck in the band - who wants to go on stage with a twat wearing a KFC Bucket ! ! !

as opposed to a lanky gay guy dressed in dark clothing and makeup

Still preferable, sorry.

apparently robin finck is leaving gnr anyway.

Sorry prozaco but you're wrong, fat bastard and the embarrassment are back in the studio after clear channel pulled the plug on the tour. It wouldn't make sense for Bob to leave, look at all he would leave behind and what would go back to? It's not as though he has a solo career, all he has is his crappy underground industrial gothic band.

yes, i've heard and read that bucket head is an ven better player, technically, than saul hudson... but does not have ability to write like saul, bucket head is a "cold player", just a shredder....

i'm no guitar expert, and i have not heard any new g'n'r stuff other than spiders, so i can't really compare the two...

oh my god was an interesting song

From what I hear Dave Navorro played on that track

Also Axl wanted Dave to join the band.
Dave also played on a NIN track as well

That is correct, I'm not sure about joining though

Trent Reznor asked Navarro to record with Nine Inch Nails and Axl Rose asked him to replace Slash in Guns N' Roses. But Navarro would not stray from his task.

I wonder who would have not been in the band if Dave joined.
Buckethead or Robin Finck??

I for one am very grateful Dave Navarro didn't join g'n'crappn'r.

Buckethead, Finck joined in '97 and Buckethead in 2000. They've had some fucking cool players join gn'r, did you know that zakk wylde was in gn'r for a while? apparently he's recorded some suff for the album.

Zakk Wylde? Is this becoming "the band where once-great axemen go to die", or something???

well it's all because of one person

Zakk Wylde what a tosser, ummm him & Axl would be great together!!

hahaha, Zaxl, the Wylde Rose.

I slay me!

i love axls braids
