It wasn't the greatest gig on earth or anything, but it was bloody good fun. After a whole week's worth of World Series gigs it was also quite nice to be in bed by midnight.
I was kinda hoping for a few more of their older hits, but really I can't think of any songs that they should have played that they didn't. I reckon now I've seen Give It Away live, I'll die a happy girly (well, just as soon as I've seen the original Duran Duran lineup perform. Don't scoff, it's going to happen).
how was Antwan The Swan's voice?
Sounded exactly the same as every song I've heard on the radio. That's not a bad thing.
It was quite good I thought, I think I should have gone to the chch too.
I think they cutted some songs from the set list, because a roadie tested out a acoustic guitar, but John never used it, (I've seen live pics of the band & he has been using it) Plus 1 song for the encore, when normally they play 2 or 3.
It looked like they were in a hurry to end the show, maybe because they were cold?? since nornally they're topless.
I thought it was cool when Anthony mentioned Invercargill, maybe he knew I was there hehe.
When John sang solo he voice seems quite high, which made some cocks behind me laughed, he's voice is getting a lot better.
I thought it was funny when John sat in front of the screen & fell over.
Quirk were kinda boring, they should of had a NZ band instead.
Papa Roach are sooo rock stars, hehe
Songs I reckon they cut - BSSM, Soul To Squeese, Pea, Me & My Friends, Fire
they played a 2 song encore here then the guitared mucked around with the distortion pad while the drummer went nuts .... it was fucken crazy ....yeah soul to squeeze and My Friends would have been cool....also Fire......best songs like = by they way, suck my kiss, and give it away ... scar tissue and parallel universe were also cool. Did they play ANYTHING off One Hot Minute at all????
The only song they play off 'One Hot Minute' is Flea's solo song 'Pea'
John their guitarist didn't play on that album, Dave Navaroo (sp?) played on it, & its not John's 'style' of playing, so he won't play them.
They won't play anything off 'Mother Milk' either because John isn't happy on what he did on those songs.

awesome concert in auckland i reckon, i was pissed off with the people in the chili bin who weren't moshing to papa roach that pissed me off heaps. but papa roach still went off with johnny vodka coming into the crowd and me and my mates surrounding him, i also got david buckner's drummstick i believe it was a awesome concert with chili's coming on but still should have played more of there older stuff
But they trashed their dressing room...those evil pooheads.
