In support of the Wellington rock scene...

I assume there was a lack of people at Indigo last night due to ignorance. So I will enlighten you. Rock DJ, $3 tequila, $3 Macs, and a live band performing free.

Where were the Wellington rock fans? Surely this kind of thing should be encouraged. Indigo is doing all of us a great service by providing us with a regular place to play, a regular place to see new talent... and cheap alcohol. So why not come out and support the local scene you all seem to think so highly of.

But beware... it is a school night. (Goddamn, I nearly spelled school as scholl... I am so fucken hung over)

Forums: NZ Music,

could it be because the act had the initial "DJ" in his/her name? (i'm not a wellyite, but was wondering if people had wrongly judged the genre of the gig)

i think the plan is for this tuesday night thing to grow and blossom, it has only been going for 3 weeks, people will catch on and hopefully make it there regular tuesday thing. if you build it, they will come.

I hope it catches on ... altho' it's hard enough to get people to rock gigs on even a Thursday, and there doesn't seem to be much advertising for it (other than the indigo newsletter and the package) ...

hey it was pretty frikkin chilly last night that always inhibits

hell yes, and rainy to boot... yucky

maybe when the weather is a little sweeter, it will take off it just needs a little time tis all

When they get bands like Evermore to play why would we want to come along and watch?

hahahahaha too true.
I've heard the EP and it actually frightened me.

good point, well made

Yeah i had the pleasure of ear rape too when i was staying at Ians.

one of the promoters from canada that is hear for the world series raved about evermore.

here*

well, i'm sure that Evermore didn't mind that posers like you wouldn't turn up.

in case you didn't already realize, i'm talking about you, Andoru

Cheers qaz. Am i that obvious?

Thanks for not being subtle either.

i love your poser ass andoru

Well Eddie if you keep in contact with the people you know and let them know what your doing once in a while then maybe more people will show up ;)

PS How was Aussie? and when's your bloody band playing again. I sense an avenue for you to explore here

Hello man. Ummm... how are you? Email on its way.

I am pretty sure that as soon as summer gets here (hurry the hell up summer,) the balcony at Indigo should attract more people.

Well now the NZMusic.com community can get behind it and go "Yay! Wellington rock!"

And Tequila and Beer and Rock are a much better choice than Bubbly and innofensive laid back beats any day.

Just talking to Vocoder. and the pavement party at my place.
