Missed out on their gigs at Slowboat and Bodega in Wellington during the weekend (Forced to see a movie at Rialto at the wrong time)
Just wondering how both gigs went...
PS- The Brunettes' CD "Holding Hands, Feeding Ducks" is SO much fun to listen to!

I suck...
Anywayz... only caught the last 3 songs at bodega, but they were nice laid back pop tunes, which is always nice. Not sure if the music is really me... but sweet female vocals will always have a place in my heart.
yay the brunettes tonight!! woo
As an avid fan of live music that doesn't feel it has to bludgeon your eardrums to make an impression I would venture that the Brunettes are a Fantastic band.
The Bodega gig was great, and the band seemed to be enjoying themselves too which is more than I can say for the last gig I saw (At the Active party).
Great drummer. Hot whistlin'. What more can we ask?
PS. I prefer Brunettes too.

I didn't like the Brunettes much when I heard them on the radio. Then I saw them live (King's Arms, supporting Seafood) and they were really really really good. I'd still balk at the prospect of owning a CD called Holding Hands Feeding Ducks, but I agree; here's to live music that doesn't bludgeon your eardrums!
The Brunettes are like butterflies and cherry pie.
yum.
they were awesome at the st james! there was beanbags, free cotton candy :) and everything was retro looking, they pulled it off really well. they are wicked live. cant wait to see them again. oooh the album is good too
