To all those in the Southland/Otago/Lakes District area
Cherrystock 9, Southlands long running, free to air, original music festival is being postponed till Orientation Time 2003. But you still can look forward to 13 bands (from dub-thrash metal..), 6 DJ's (from Hip Hop to trance) and a huge day of entertainment, markets etc in the late summer. All for free. If anyone in the above areas are interested in being part of this event and want to perform to thousands of people then please email Jay Sellwood @ glazed.cherry@xtra.co.nz

No!!!!!!! The 96 hours gig at Tillermans is NOT a replacement for Cherrystock! They are being run by different organisations. 96 hours is being run by Sputnik Productions, Glazed Cherry Promotions (organisers of Cherrystock) had tied itself to a couple of out of town bands and Tillermans decided that they would still like to have them play this Labour Weekend... hopefully Motherguru will still be coming down.
So Tama Drummer... kill that rumour! (: Jay doesn't have anything to do with that gig at Tilli's and without Jay there is no Cherrystock!

Look, to be honest I don't think it'll be supported as much as something like Cherry. People want to be out in the sunshine, a few bevies, nice buzz and some good sounds. They don't wanna go to the same ol' place, you know? It's just really sad that people are associating it with Cherrystock all cause of one person wanting to cash in. Cherrystock will happen though... and by the way, your rumour on the 8 Foot Sativa page was correct. They were very keen to come down and play but the timing is all wrong cause of their tour in November. Never mind...

I love the Anals....they are fantastic...I just wish they'd get their shit together and do things properly....with the right management and committment they could be huge... Jay will be staying on in Invers... but no POWA... I produce and present it you see and nobody here is willing to do the hard work behind the show. Lots of people are keen to present....(everyone wanting to be stars, huh?) but unless MTV employs someone from outta town then there won't be a student show. Sucks... I really wish it would continue...I think its a shame that we worked so hard on it for 380 shows and then its gonna die in the ass... Jay isn't sure what hes up too, I think hes abit sick of the ol' window cleaning...now that he has a taste for TV, he wants more......mooowahhhhh ha ha....!!!! lol
