Just went to the Local Output heats on North Shore of Auckland last night, and the bands there are so damn good, its great to know that theres so much talent in NZ music...
I recommend everyone keeps an eye out for Gourd, It's the second time I've seen them (also at rockquest) and theyre probably the best NZ metal band I've seen.
Finals for Local Output are Fri 18th at the netball north harbour complex, anyone around should definately check it out for $10. Also check out the website; www.localoutput.com

Hahaha another Gourd fan. I must admitt Gourd went off last night.. the lighting was good too :P
The moment Gourd came on stage, the crowd went ape shit. I remember a Dirt Theory song was being played through the PA as gourd were setting up and the crowd was almost moshing to that :P
But there have been some good bands playing though eh? If I mentioned any of them, I'd have to mention them all.
Well I'm still buzzing from last night. I look foward to seeing all the bands at the finals, Paralus, Triggercut, Seratonin Eclipse & Gourd plus the guest bands, INDICATOR DOGS!!! DIRT THEORY!!! AND UBIQUITOUS!
I can't wait. It's a total buzz.

Gourd were amazing... Had such a great time moshing . Good old metlers in the crowd. Down2one were good , even going hard when selling the drinks lol . And kudos which did a mean cover of sugar by -s.o.a.d which got all the crazy kids into action. Even tablesurfed. Soooo Much fun.
I fully reconmend going to the finals .

I'll be there on Friday night! Table surfing is a lot of fun. The best thing about this whole thing is that we've done it three weeks in a row.. there's a community of people turning up, and getting to know each other. And then when you see them during the week you get to yell "fucking bogan" and it doesn't mean anything, because we'll all be at the gig this friday night :P
