damn straight, sue their arses, it's not only the recording industry they are ripping off it's the artists as well.... just think how record sales have been affected..... it's shocking, all those struggling bands out there why would anyone buy music with this scum giving it away for free .... I myself have never used this method of listening to music (well once or twice BUT only to try before I buy.. honest)
sarcastic what ever do you mean?????
And while they are at it they should do something about those bands that think they can circumvent the record companies and actually go out and play their music live, good god some of them do it for free!!!!!!!!
And as well as that with the advances of technology some of the smart arses are recording, producing and marketing music with out the guidance, and support of a record company.... what next... I bet soon it will be possible to get music directy from the people who made it, over the computer... fightening thought isn't it?
No I'm sorry, music should be restored to the recording companies after all they have years of experience and have invested major money bring us the best music money can make, bring back tinpan alley, where the companies told the writers what to write, chose which artist recorded it for which market.
They understand what we need to hear and what is good music and what is not, if this random uncontrolled chaos continues goodness knows what sort of music we might end up with..... I shudder to think
Speaking of The Onion (America's Finest News Source)...
There was a story in my local newspaper recently that went something like this:
The article found at the link below was broadcast on the evening news in Beijing as the honest to god truth. When the station was notified that the Onion article was not completely fact, they decided not to air a retraction, stating "no one is placed in danger by thinking this is true" and "it just sounded so believable."
