woo hoo, roxy - girls against boys... i'm going to see them next week. an awesome band.

yeah? grrr. I hear the new album is even better than freakonica.

you can't fight what you can't see -- yeah it's good. they get better and better over time.

do you mean they have gotten better overtime as far as albums are concerned, or they get better the more you have listened to them?

both really, i like them more as i listen more, but listening to their older albums, i like their newer stuff better...

sob ... GVSB ... my most favourite non-Kiwi band ... sob ... anyone heard House of GVSB - their best in MHO. i managed to get Cruise Yourself and House on vinyl ... slobber ... and the soundtrack to Series 7 is bloody good too.

You would not believe how jealous I am that you're seeing them, hdurocks. please report back, and if you get to yak to them, tell them to come to NZ - they can sleep on my floor.

they should've swung to NZ while in oz recently
poor NZ, so far away and forgotten, that's the best part about living in the US -- good bands to see all the time... i've lived here for nearly a year and seen so many that would have been impossible at home (eg shellac) or maybe swung around at big day out or whatever when i usually had to work or something anyway
if that made sense

try Hayseed Dixie
A redneck, bluegrass AC/DC cover band from the south of the states.
Imagine Angus Young on the banjo...

Don't forget Kim Carnes' "Betty Davis Eyes". A forgotten masterpiece of pop. I can play it quite faithfully on my acoustic too.

£100 of the finest says you can't...
one of the genius rock riffs of all time!

Play Bette Davis Eyes?

+cemetary - strung out
+long way down - goo goo dolls
+round here - counting crows

not the least mainstream music you can find, but its nice.
