The Local Output Bands Competition to be held in mid October 2002 on the North Shore for high school bands.
The competition last year involved up to 30 North Shore youths who helped out behind the scenes, 1000 supporters who came over the four nights the event took place, as well as over 70 musicians who took part in the competition.

Oh yes, we are fundraising for the bands comp by having some of the bands who are entering playing a gig at stages (62 queen street auckland) on 31 august. The gig is $10 at the door, all ages and all the profit made on the night is paying for the bands comp. So go, support it! And you might win a prize! :D

Yeah just a quick message about our documentary on our last event. Our last event was a fashion comp for high school students. The idea of it was to combine bands with fashion.. it worked well, we sold out the crowd etc.
Anyway, tonight the doco was shown on Triangle Television (auckland regional tv station). If you missed it, you can see it on Friday 23 August at 8.30am or at 2.00pm on the same day.
The doco doesn't really capture a lot of what local output is about when you're involved in the events but yeah.. watch it anyway :D
