I just saw 'The American Astronaut' at paramount, it was like a western space musical, but was really cool, it was like eraser-head but with a sense of humour
Filmed in black and white and really retro, it features and is produced by this cool band/media firm called ‘The Billy Nayer Show’ (the band sounds like JSBX).
Its kinda like a tongue in the cheek macho sci-fi flick, cracking jokes about itself.

Vietnow's typo of "24 Hour Part People" make me laugh. It sounds like the name of zombie movie.

But anyway, I saw "Apocalypse Now: Redux" and I do recommend it. Hopefully the festival venues in other cities will have more comfortable seats than the Civic. After three hours and 20 minutes my arse had no feeling left in it.

I also saw "Ghost World" and I really enjoyed that. It reminded me a bit of how I was when I was 18 and had just left school without any plans.

I should probably go and see some more films before the festival finishes. Although most of the good films seem to end up getting a general release at one theatre or another.
